Beat The Buzzer Official Rules
1. No purchase necessary to enter. Contest dates: 9/24/01-12/20/01*
2. Contest is open to all New York State residents. Winners under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian claim prize. Everyone who plays is subject to official rules as stated.
3. All Federal, State and Local laws and regulations apply. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Void where prohibited.
4. Only one play per person every 30 days. Only one winner per household for the entire length of the contest. WLVY 94 Rock will not be responsible for misdirected phone calls and technical problems of the phone company. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible players.
5. How to play: Listen to 94 Rock at 94.3 MHz on the FM dial. When you hear the cue to call in, 94 Rock will take the 9th caller that is received in order. If the 9th caller is deemed to be ineligible, the next eligible caller in order will be chosen to play Beat The Buzzer. The caller will then be put on the air to play the contest. You will attempt to win by listening to a list of prizes that may increase or decrease in value along the time line of the contest play. When you hear a prize that you would like to keep, simply yell LOUDLY and CLEARLY the word STOP! If you yell STOP before the buzzer goes off, you win the last prize mentioned. If you yell STOP after the buzzer sounds or during the buzzer sounding, you lose.
6. Winners: Winner must claim prize at the WLVY studios or other location as determined by prize type. Winners must present valid NEW YORK photo identification. The winner must also sign an eligibility and liability release before the prize can be awarded.
7. Prizes consist of cash and (list other prizes to be awarded here). All prizes must be claimed within 30 days of winning, otherwise the prize will be forfeited.
8. Employees of WLVY, Pembrook Pines Media Group, (Clients involved in contest) and their respective advertising agencies, subsidiaries and immediate family members of each are not eligible to enter. No substitute prize or cash equivalent will be awarded. All decisions of WLVY are final.
9. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to use the name, voice and/or likeness of each prize winner for advertising and publicity purposes without prior approval and without additional compensation.
10. A copy of the rules are available at the WLVY studios, 1705 Lake Street, Elmira, NY Monday through Friday from 10am until 4pm, holidays excluded.
