Tonight was the crowning of your Twin Tiers Idol. Each sang one of their favorites from the competition, and each sounded fantastic tonight. Would have been hard to vote tonight. Started the show with last years winner, Matthew Swearingen, singing two songs, and if I may say so, better then ever! Congrats on finishing 4th in a very big competition..
After a group song with Brenton & Wendy, two of our judges, it was time to announce this years Twin Tiers Idol.
And the nice trophy was awarded to ..
Shannon Smith!
Congratulations, and if you want to know who was second place I would have to say it was a 4 way tie!
Thanks to our 20 that made the stage..thanks to all that tried out. Your talent and enthusiasium was great. You are what makes this competition, and may your talent take you where you want to go.
Please check the archives out below the pictures, to see all that made this possible. But a big thank you to all the work that Cheryl & Rose did from the Arnot Mall. They are the ones that make the whole thing possible, and the work they did was huge!

Tonight was the final 5. They each got 2 songs, one judges choice, and what great choices. And what great performances.
Thanks to Aaron Kelly for opening the show. This talented 12 year old is well on his way!
No announcement on the air, and we have another show at 7pm Wednesday, Center Court of the Arnot Mall.
Thanks to everyone that has come out and voted, and enjoyed these talented people.

Round 3 of Twin Tiers Idol was Tuesday 7/25. 10 great performances. 10 great Performers. And as Shannon Smith said on stage, it seems that they are more nervous for each other, and are very supportive of their fellow contestants. They are all true professionals already. Special Thanks to Amanda Golden for Opening the Show.
The winner of course gets a guaranteed audition for American Idol, and we learned last night that they will be singing the National Anthem at the Crown Royal Race In Watkins Glen on August 11th. Thats the big Nascar weekend!
Also, Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Chris Davies of Guthries Cosmetic center is donating $100 gift certificate to the winner.And Dentist Ronald Girard, who is there each week with information regarding cosmetic dentistry options, will be performing a free Zoom Tooth Whitening procedure on each of the 5 finalists.
Musicals and Music was the theme, and here are the 5 moving on to the final round, Tuesday August 1st. The Crowning will be Wednesday August 2nd at 7p, Center Court of the Arnot Mall.

Tonight was the first chance to see the 20 hopefuls for Twin Tier Idol 2006. Next Tuesday will be the 15 remaining singers for you to vote for. Results from tonight will be announced at 1:30pm Wednesday on 94Rock. Well find out the 15, and let you know the theme of the next show.

Tonights theme was the 80s and 90s. Each contestant had 2 min to sing their song this week. Starting off the show was judge Brenton Shepard.
